To possibly alert this companies management of poor services of consumer contract agreement that is an active contract. Make consumers aware of service department inadequate management.

Must get some help please/ refrigerator. Parts have not arrived for at least 2 months. Now the freezer is freezing up soo bad it has to be defrosted every day. Service was contacted, indicated parts were available, but no shipping or tracking for part. Would call when available.There has been no offer to loan or replacement. I am suffering everyday with ice maker leaking into door compartment filling up with water everyday, my ice is slush, and my freezer looks like Antarctic ice land. I just cant believe this.

Bill Smith Appliances - Dishonest company telling you stories…..

Unfortunately I wanted to stay on the Island in order to give something to the community and keep businesses running. My experience is that it means absolutely nothing.

Just go to any other company that have got good reviews and that you know and trust.

These people will give you a sugar coated story about being around for so many years with almost a spotless background when it comes to complaints.

I bought a top of the line freezer/cooler with an ice-maker. At first they tried to not honor the ice-maker since they forgot to order it. They squeezed me for another USD 150 in combination of being 6 weeks late.

The first installation was quick and they re-hung the door.

Here's when the problem starts. This particular model has electrical wires inside the freezer door and most likely it got pinched when this was done.

1 year and 1 month later the ice-maker quits working.

It works when you force it manually so I figured the circuiting was the problem. 4 months later the freezer quit in combination of not being able to use the controls. I can no longer change temperature and the unit is running 24/7.

According to Bill Smith the unit broke because of power surges. Really, thats your explanation?

If that was true a lot more equipment would get broken if that was true. That just a cheap way of giving clients a story we cant look into.

The reason for the 1 star is that almost every company are friendly when it comes to sales. It's during service or after-sales where it really matters. This company has absolutely no problem of taking your money upfront but when it really, really matters they don't step up.

I want everyone on this Island to know what kind of people you are dealing without here.

I have been trying now for almost 1 year to at least give me a discount or something like goodwill since I feel I am helpless against them. Surely enough I did try one last time. I asked for a quote from the clerk. Here's the funny part.

Instead of giving me a discount or anything they bumbed up the price USD 50 compared to the list price, as well as the price they have on their web site.

The whole operation is a fraud I and think it's time to make an example of how absolutely ruthless these companies are.

I bet none of the people live or have any connections to the Island. They only want your money and then they disappear.

1 year warranty on parts. That's ridiculous. How can we allow that to happen?

Bill Smith doesn't want to increase the quality of products as they would sell much less. I know for a fact that I didn't ask for lower pricer if that means low or even no quality. We need to improve the legislation against these companies and take legal action. They are in it together with the producers.

Here's a fun fact.

If you buy the exact same unit in Europe you get 5 years warranty.

That warranty can't be excluded since the seller needs to prove you have handled the unit wrong. I open and close the doors.....what can go wrong?

Stay away from this company as their word means nothing in real life.

Around November 10th we walked into the Cape Coral store on Del Prado. A salesman named Guy greeted us, and we told him we wanted a Whirlpool dishwasher. He showed us a GE model and asked us how we loaded our dishwasher and treated the dishes, then said that was the old way like people did because of the depression, which was not the reason. He then told us the dishwashing detergent has to find dirt on the dishes, otherwise it doesn't know what to do. Another salesperson who overheard that snickered and rolled his eyes. I then asked this salesman a question about longevity of the machine, and he just said he only answers sales questions, What a jerk. We will consider going to a different appliance store next time!

NO NOT purchase from Bill Smith. All the products are interior. Purchased washer and dryer. After 2 washing cycles the "brand new" machine needed a new motor. Dryer after a week of normal use, the heating element went out. Waiting 2 weeks for an element. This is happening to supposed NEW appliances. The sales force is totally useless.

Still waiting for a refrigerator handle since 6/12/2021

Refrigerator was delivered with a broken handle. We accepted it assuming that we would receive the replacement handle right away. I have always been an avid user of Whirlpool and Fridgedare but no longer. I am now at 10/1/2021 with no handle, no follow up, no phone calls. I've worked in customer service for 25 years and would never do business with this company again

Repair of ice maker on GE refrigerator

Ice maker motor was replaced 6 months to a year ago. The unit stopped working yesterday (11-14-21). Light indicates that the ice maker is turned on.

Bad Warranty Service

Worst Warranty service EVER! Spent $5,000.00 on extended warranty plans on $60K worth of appliances purchased through Bill Smith Appliances.

First service call for a Kegerator that failed less than a year old, took 2 weeks (TWO WEEKS) for them to come out and advise a board was bad. We are now 5 weeks (FIVE WEEKS) out and had to follow up with them to hear We called the number on file and got no answer hmmm not even a voicemail. NOT BUYING IT!!. Today they say the soonest they can schedule is 5/19.

The warranty service manager had nothing to offer!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! You might end up without a working Fridge or other necessity for months. Utterly ridiculous and *** poor service in my opinion.

You might as well buy through Big Box stores. Dont waste your money on extended warranties unless you are good with sub par service. Please read all and check all reviews everywhere!!

P.S. the COVID excuse has long run its course in our area.....,

We went in to Bill Smith Appliances last November to find a fridge/freezer for the garage, one without a water dispenser or ice maker. We had a specific Maytag model in mind. A seemingly helpful and knowledgeable sales rep confidently said 'not a chance, we've seen no fridge/freezers such as these, any make or model, since March, no other suppliers will have them either', and proceeded to try and sell us something else. We went over to Lowe's. They had 38 in stock, and delivered the next day. We were impressed with the service and the conversation that explained Lowes invest heavily in having plenty of stock in their warehouses.

The appliances were delivered and hooked up the day we had scheduled two weeks before. It would have been nice to get a call or email the day before. All is well.

I tried twice to order an appliance on the Bill Smith website. Both times I received back a response on the screen that Bill Smith would be contacting me about financing and delivery. The website would not let me complete the order. I never received a response. I called a Bill Smith store, River District - Fort Myers, and was immediately put on hold. After waiting quite a while, I finally gave up and hung up. I also tried to email Bill Smith's these concerns using the email on their website. It doesn't work! I get an email back labelled "Email Change" with no content. I get the impression that my $1100 purchase wasn't worth their while. I tried to buy locally and wow, they don't want to work with me! I ended up going directly to the manufacturer to order my appliance.

Bought condo and the dryer door was to the left where another door to water heater etc. is. Contacted Bill Smith and asked them to have dryer door switched to right so I could use dryer without struggling to get clothes in and out. They have fixed the door and restored my confidence in their company. I now can tell people they are a good company and to shop there.

Dryer door was on wrong side, making it difficult to open as it was up against a sliding door to a/c. At first they would not budge. Then to my surprise they did change the dryer door at no cost. It restored my confidence with Bill Smith appliances. I recommend this company to the public.
